At the Ribe VikingeCenter in Denmark, located just 2 km south of Ribe, you can travel back 1000 years in time and experience what life was like for the Vikings.

At the VikingeCenter entrance you get a glimpse of what’s inside when you’re greeted by the three Norns whom hold your destiny. The Norns spin your thread of life and know everything about your past, present and future. Admission to the Ribe VikingeCenter starts through the center’s gift shop, which is located in the barn of the Manor Farm. This is where you buy your ticket and receive up-to-date information. The gift shop offers a wide range of crafts, gifts and souvenirs and take you into the magical world of the Vikings.

Your first stop after the gift shop/entrance is the Manor farm which takes you to the year 980 AD! Standing at the runestone, you have the imposing estate with longhouse, stable, smithy, barns, workshops, pit-houses, and fields lying right in front of you. The Viking farmer owning all this is no insignificant man, mind you. He has a lot of people working for him to run the place. But this is just the start – there is so much more to see and experience.
